Flight of the Kansas City Dawn Patrol "Flying Circus" WWI Airplanes, WWI Curtiss Jenny and WWII Stearman PT-17 and Piper L-4
USA Golden Knights Parachute Demonstration Team is returning to our Celebration.  In addition to opening the Airshow during the National Anthems with a jump carryng the United States and Canadian Flags, the entire team will return to perform a spectacular mass exit jump.

Canadian Forces Snowbirds 431 Air Demonstration Squadron
Returning again from an appearence last year, they produce some of the most awe inspiring and exquisite formation and precision flying seen in the skies today. They arrive with a total of 11 Jets, 2 are flown by the Coordinators and used as spare aircraft. The top speed of the aircraft, with smoke tanks attached, is 470 miles an hour. During their performance the SNOWBIRDS will fly at speeds ranging from 115 miles per hour to 370 miles per hour. When the two solo aircraft perform their head-on passes, they aim to be approximately only 33 feet apart when they cross with a closure speed of the jets that is very close to the speed of sound.

9:55 AM 27th Annual Quarter Century Salute to Veterans Parade - Downtown Columbia, "Jump-Started" by the USA Golden Knights Parachute Team bringing the American and Canadian Flags in to Broadway.
10:45 AM Military Ceremony - Boone County Courthouse Veterans Memorials.
Columbia Community Band, Wreaths placed, Speech by the Ranking Military Honored Guest, introduction of Tuskegee Airmen, WASP, and the Veterans and Military Recruiters on the Platform.
Service Songs; "Amazing Grace" by the Bagpipers; 21-Gun Salute and Echo Taps to end the 27th Annual, 6-Day Salute to Veterans Celebration.
Colonel Robert Leeker, AirBoss
Colonel Robert Leeker, AirBoss. USAF, Ret. Wing Commander, 131st Bomb Wing, Whiteman AFB, MOANG, Ret.. Awarded the Bronze Star for ground combat as commander of Kirkuk Regional Air Base. Flew a variety of military aircraft including the F-15 Eagle in Iraq. Final flight upon retirement was as a pilot in the B-2's.

Captain Ted Jacobs, Assistant AirBoss. USNR, Ret. 26+ years in the USN and USNR flying the P-3 Orion; then a pilot with SouthWest Airlines, Ret.

Commander Ken Hines, Voice of the Airshow. USCGR, Ret. He served 27 years and is a veteran of Operation Enduring Freedom, Operation Noble Eagle, and participated in the massive USCG response to Hurricane Katrina.
